Towns County Chamber of Commerce

Ambassador Program

The Ambassador Program is designed to involve all Chamber members.  We do this by making personal contact with the membership.  Ambassadors are expected to make phone calls and personal visits to specified members.

When Ambassadors make calls on members, they represent the Chamber.  They provided a vital link between the Chamber staff and the membership.  Visits may not always be pleasant - some members may be unhappy with something the Chamber has or has not done.  Ambassadors are expected to be sensitive to member concerns and to report any unusual situations.

Ambassadors are also asked to attend Business After Hours events and Ribbon Cuttings.  At these functions their duties will be to assist with sign in, act as host to new members who attend, and insure all members are made to feel welcome and comfortable.

Program Qualifications:

The ideal Chamber Ambassador is an employee of a current member firm who has the desire and ability to visit members or attend Chamber events.

While making Ambassador calls, volunteers and their firms benefit by having an opportunity to introduce themselves and explaining their line of work.  Serving as an Ambassador is an excellent networking tool.

Ambassadors will agree on their own meeting schedule.  Assignments are made at these meetings as to which members will be visited.  Ambassadors will be assigned a month of choice during which they will be responsible for calling on new members on a weekly basis.  Existing members will be assigned on a quarterly basis.
