Brasstown Valley Golf Club at Brasstown Valley Resort, located in Towns County’s own Young Harris, offers a spectacular mountain golf experience with scenery as breathtaking as the play is challenging. The Brasstown Valley Golf Club has been ranked by both Golf Digest and Leading Golf Courses of America as one of the top courses to play in Georgia. The par-72 course begins and ends at The Lodge, weaving around protected wetlands, up and down tree-lined hillsides, and along Brasstown Creek. Four different sets of tees make it fun for all levels of play. The golf facilities on this Denis Griffiths-designed course include a professional driving and practice range and an on-site PGA Pro, Brett Beazley, who offers golf clinics and lessons and customizes special tournaments. The award-winning course is maintained and managed by the resort staff, so the resort guest’s experience here is the first priority. Located outside of Hiawassee in Hayesville, NC is Eagle Greens course, Ridges at Mountain Harbor Golf Course, western North Carolina’s premier daily fee golf course. This gorgeous 18-hole course was designed by architect Willard Byrd and is nestled in a lush valley surrounded by breathtaking views near Lake Chatuge. Chatuge Shores Golf Course, located just over the Georgia State Line on Hwy. 17/69 north, is a country club, which includes an 18-hold golf course, driving range, Olympic size swimming pool and clubhouse.
